Shane Carwin (born January 4, 1975) is an American mixed martial arts fighter who competes in the heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is currently undefeated and holds a notable victory over Gabriel Gonzaga. None of his fights, UFC or otherwise, have made it past the first half of the first round with all of his UFC fights ending in knockout. Prior to coming to the UFC, Carwin has also successfully competed in the wec and Ring of Fire, where he was their heavyweight champ before his departure to the UFC.
