Hatsu Hioki has been a Shooto regular for over six years and one of its brightest young stars. Makinig his professional Shooto debut at only 19, Hioki has shown promise from day one finishing his first three opponents, albeit none of those fighters had any wins of their own. Using his long reach and grappling savy, Hioki amassed an 8-1-1 record in Shooto, Hioki made the jump to the now defunct Pride organization, the premiere Japanese promotion at the time, scoring a unanimous decision win over highly touted Jeff Curran.
